Tours We Offer:

History of Russell Kayak Tour – $95/Person*

Russell is steeped in both Maori and European history. This kayak adventure takes you around some of the beautiful bays of Russell, meandering along the pristine coastline.

Along the way, your guide will share some of the fascinating history of Russell throughout your journey, showing you points of interest that helped to shape Russell and early New Zealand. We will stop for brunch at a coastal picnic spot under shady trees overlooking a tranquil bay before paddling the final leg of the journey. After which, our mini bus will pick you up for the trip going back to Russell.

This trip is suited for most fitness levels.

Caves & Coast Tour – $95/Person

Join us for a half-day kayaking tour that begins from Oneroa Bay (Long Beach). We will enjoy a fun paddle exploring small caves and rocky inlets whilst paddling the coastline to Tapeka point for a picnic stop. We will then continue on to Waihi Bay around the coast back to Kororareka Bay (Russell). There are many great photo opportunities on this trip as well.

Winery Tour – $150/Person*

This fun, half-day tour starts with a kayak adventure to some of the beautiful bays around Russell, meandering along the pristine coastline. Your guide will share some of the fascinating history of Kororareka throughout your journey. 

At the completion of the kayak leg of your trip you will then be taking a walk through native bush thriving with local birdlife culminating in a walk through the grapevines to one of our local jewels Omata Estate Vineyard. You will ALSO enjoy a wine tasting of Omata Estate’s locally produced wines, with a lunch platter whilst overlooking the Veronica Channel with views across the bay to Paihia.

Some uphill walking is required, so please bring walking shoes. Our mini bus will bring you back to Russell after lunch.

Sunset Kayak Tour – $85/Person

You, the kayak, the ocean and a golden sky! There is something magical about being on the ocean as the sun fires up its beautiful evening glow. This tour departs in the late afternoon taking in some of Kororareka’s beautiful Bays & Inlets, arriving at the Russell waterfront in time to catch the sunset over Paihia. 

A camera or phone is a must, so you’ll have the opportunity to take some memorable photos. Wearing a jacket or jumper is also highly recommended. Don’t forget to ask our guide to take some for you, too!

Full Day Island Tour – $190 P/Person

This Tour commences from Long Beach and takes us to Motuarohia (Roberton) Island for our first stop. Here we can enjoy a leisurely walk to the lookout to get great panoramic photos of the islands then have a snorkel amongst the fish life in one of the lagoons. From here we will be paddling across Te Rawhiti inlet for a lunch stop in a secluded bay. The afternoon leg of the tour takes us to the headland of Manawaroa Bay to discover the historical areas associated with Captain Cook's travels which will include a short walk to a historic site. After exploring Paroa Bay we will then head back along the coastline to Long Beach.

Two Day Island Tour $399 P/Person

Our two-day adventure starts at Long Beach, then over to Motuarohia (Roberton) Island. We stop for a scenic walk & snorkel tour before venturing onto Waiiti Bay (Moturua Island) for a refreshment stop. The afternoon sees us paddling through the islands towards Urupukapuka Island where we will camp the night and enjoy the serenity. This picturesque Island offers wonderful swimming spots as well as excellent walking tracks and you will be given time to explore these. Day 2 sees us exploring the bays in and around the Te Rawhiti channel and surrounding Islands towards our destination at Teinga Bay where we will be picked up by minibus and transported back to Russell.
